Acura MDX
STATUS: Unchanged for 2020 - When it comes to combining luxury and utility, the MDX stands tall against all comers. The well-appointed base model can be enhanced with the sporty A-Spec appearance package that comes with a unique nose, darkened alloy wheels and added body accents. The A-Spec runs with the same 290-horsepower V-6 found in all other MDX trims and uses the same nine-speed automatic transmission. The returning MDX hybrid also uses the V-6 plus two electric motors that produce a combined 321 horsepower. Compared with the non-hybrid MDX, the hybrid, in combination with a seven-speed automatic transmission, increases fuel economy by about 20 percent in city driving. The AcuraWatch safety system is standard on both models. Options include navigation, premium audio package, rear entertainment screen and GPS-linked climate control that varies the cabin temperature according to the sun's position.
