STATUS: Unchanged for 2020 - From any angle, the five-passenger Envision is an attractive tall wagon that contains not the slightest hint of its made-in-China heritage. The same goes for the interior that's all about elegance and sophistication, with fancy wood and stitched-leather trim. The Envision slots between sub-compact Encore and the full-size Enclave. For the 2019 model year, the Envision's front and rear were restyled and new 18- and 19-inch wheel designs became available. A nine-speed automatic transmission replaced the previous six-speed for models equipped with the optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine. All-wheel-drive is available, but the system you get depends on the engine. Models with the turbo 2.0 come get an "Active Twin-Clutch" system with a rear differential that distributes added torque to the outside wheel when turning (called torque vectoring). That's not available when AWD is specified with the base non-turbo 2.5-liter four-cylinder.
