Lexus GS
STATUS: Base GS 300 is gone for 2020 - For buyers who have eyes for the Lexus LS sedan, but on a budget, the smaller GS just might be the ticket. For the 2020 model year, the base price increases due to the cancellation of the base GS 200t and its 241-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The GS 350 and its 311-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 take over as the base car in the lineup. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission that blips the throttle for smoother downshifts (called rev matching). The GS can be had in F Sport trim that includes special 19-inch staggered-width wheels and tires to make room for larger brakes with more aggressive pads. The F Sport also includes is a stiffer suspension along with a body kit that will be hard to miss. For more performance, the GS F packs a 467-horsepower V-8, extra punch that will set you back almost $34,000 more than a base GS 350.
