Lexus LS
STATUS: Inspiration Series added for 2020 - The current LS sedan was officially launched in January 2018 as a more curvaceous update to the previous slab-sided look. It also appears larger, due to a slightly lower roofline. The cabin is a paragon of premium fittings, with high-end hides covering the seats, optional massaging chairs and thoroughly modern trimmings for the dashboard, console and door panels. A twin-turbocharged V-6 - standard in the LS 500 - is rated at 416 horsepower. It's linked to a 10-speed automatic transmission. For buyers wishing to appear frugal and somewhat eco-friendly, the LS 500h hybrid serves up a non-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 that combines with two electric motors to produce 354 horsepower. The LS 500h's powertrain, which, operates through a continuously variable transmission, is available in front- and all-wheel-drive (as is the LS 500). For the 2020 model year, a limited-edition LS 500 Inspiration Series comes with special maroon paint, white leather interior, unique 20-inch blackened chrome wheels and a 2,400-watt, 23-speaker surround-sound audio system.
